Netcdf files converted from a .cnv-format file created by Sea-Bird Electronics "Seasave Win32 V 5.30a".
Each Netcdf file contains global attributes taken verbatim from the ASCII header of the .cnv file.
BCO-DMO Edits
- Original data contributed as NetCDF files
-
ARM Tools NetCDF Windows routine cdf2ascii.exe used to convert the data to ASCII format
-
ARM Tools NetCDF Windows routine ncdump.exe used to extract header information (parameters and sensors)
- CTD dataset name, date, time, lat, lon imported from the header information in the converted files
- A common set of CTD parameters were generated for all three years worth of data.
BCO-DMO Data manager notes (2021-06-21):
Version 2 (2021-06-16) replaced dataset version 1 (2011-11-21). There were four lines in this dataset that had a single double quote character in them instead of data values and subsequent data values were misaligned in wrong columns.
These are the lines from the version 1 tsv file with the issues (before fixing in version 2):

The first two problem lines (Line 179167 and 184891) following two lines could be fixed by replacing the double quote character with a missing data identifier and adding the missing flag value at the end.
But the other two (lines 825152 and 975451) had other suspect values and misalignments and could not be salvaged. Those lines were removed from the version 2 data.
