Methods & Sampling

Dataset acquisition description

Data include treatment information of individuals, cyst counts, HSI, GSI, calorimetry, ethogram, and timed behavior data from Carcinus maenas-Microphallus similis trematode study.

Work took place at Shoals Marine laboratory, Appledore Island, ME using Carcinus maenas collected from the Great Bay Estuary at University of New Hampshire Jackson Estuarine Lab at Adams Point, New Hampshire.

BCO-DMO Processing:
- added conventional header with dataset name, PI name, version date, reference information
- renamed parameters to BCO-DMO standard
- replaced spaces with underscores
- replaced commas with semicolons
- replaced empty cells with nd (no data)
- split treatment column into expt_id and treatment
- reduced excessive digits to right of decimal
- added site, lat, lon columns for mapping purposes
- transformed behavior columns to rows
